Job summary

GHD is hiring a Defence Environment Delivery Leader to provide national leadership across Australia’s Defence environmental portfolio. You will steer a geographically dispersed team, deliver consistent, high‑quality environmental services, and advise on environmental and contractual matters for Defence projects.

You’ll apply robust governance, drive efficiency, manage risks, and promote safety and wellbeing while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in environmental and/or project environments with demonstrated leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide national leadership across Defence environmental delivery, driving consistency, efficiency, resource capability needs and quality across services and deliverables.
• Lead, coach and develop a geographically dispersed team, creating a connected and high-performing national environment.
• Support Defence projects with environmental and contractual advice, bringing together the right technical expertise and capability from across GHD.
• Leverage business and digital systems to strengthen project delivery, governance, financial performance, quality management and planning.
• Promote a strong culture of safety and wellbeing while applying sound commercial judgement to proactively manage project risks and opportunities.
