The Fair Work Ombudsman is seeking an experienced Assistant Director – Criminal Investigations to lead a small team within the Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman’s Criminal Investigations Branch. You will provide operational and technical leadership on complex criminal investigations and prepare briefs of evidence for potential referral to the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.

This role will help build investigative capability across the Branch.

Qualifikationen

• Substantial experience conducting and/or leading complex criminal investigations, with responsibility for strategy and evidence gathering.
• Experience preparing criminal briefs of evidence for prosecuting authorities.

Aufgaben

• Lead complex criminal investigations, including strategy, lines of inquiry, evidence gathering and lawful use of powers.
• Undertake significant investigative work as required, including interviewing, evidence assessment and preparing matters for prosecution.
• Lead and develop a small team of investigators, providing direction, coaching and feedback.
• Quality assure investigation outputs such as plans, reports and briefs of evidence before submission.
