Job summary

PCA is seeking a Construction Supervisor - Civil & Ground Engineering to oversee multiple crews across civil, drilling, piling, concrete and rope access on sites across Australia. This role coordinates work fronts, makes on‑the‑ground decisions with Project Managers and Engineers, and ensures safety, quality and on‑program delivery while keeping stakeholders updated.

Regular travel to regional and remote projects is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction with multiple crews.
• Background in two or more of civil works, drilling, piling, concrete or rope access.
• White Card, First Aid/CPR training and safety systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

Construction Supervisor - Civil & Ground Engineering

We're growing across the Southern Region, and we need a supervisor who can grow with us!

This is a genuine multi-discipline role with civil, drilling, piling, concrete and rope access, often running in parallel on the same site.

The Role

This is not a single-trade supervisor position. You'll be coordinating multiple crews and work fronts, making decisions on the ground and working closely with Project Managers and Engineers to keep the job safe, productive and on program.

The role involves regular travel and working away from home, including regional and remote projects.

You're taking ownership of daily site operations, resource allocation, productivity, safety compliance and quality outcomes on technically challenging projects.

We're looking for a proven Supervisor, not someone taking their first step into supervision.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and sequence daily activities to meet program targets
• Allocate plant, labour and subcontractors across multiple work fronts
• Drive productivity while holding the line on safety standards
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and QA requirements
• Keep site and project management in the loop with clear, timely updates

Some of the must-haves:

• Experience within the civil construction industry, including managing multiple crews or trades on the same project
• Hands-on background in at least two of: civil works, ground drilling, piling, concrete structures, or rope access
• Strong leadership and decision‑making under pressure
• Solid grasp of construction safety systems
• White Card (Construction Industry Induction)
• Genuine willingness to work away from home and travel when the project calls for it
• First Aid/CPR training
• Geotechnical or specialist ground engineering experience is highly regarded, as is experience working in regional or remote environments.
