Artemus Group is seeking passionate Commis Chefs to join our fast-paced kitchen team in Sydney. Whether starting out or advancing, you will learn from experienced chefs, gain hands-on training, and contribute to delivering exceptional Chinese-inspired dishes.

You will work across sections, maintain high standards, and thrive in a high-volume environment while developing essential culinary skills and knowledge of food safety.

Qualifications

• Must have a genuine passion for cooking and hospitality.
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
• Previous experience as a cook or commis chef is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support chefs with daily kitchen preparation and service.
• Prepare ingredients and assist across sections of the kitchen.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Keep your section clean, organized and well stocked.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
• Work as part of a collaborative and energetic kitchen team.
• Learn new techniques and develop culinary skills.
