The Star Sydney is seeking a Commis Chef to join our Commissary Kitchen. Work closely with the Sous Chefs and Chef de Cuisine in a high-volume environment delivering prep, production and service-ready items.

We value precision, creativity and safety, with a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends and public holidays. Full Australian working rights are essential.

Qualifications

• Culinary School Graduate with apprenticeship in commercial cookery.
• Proficiency with diverse food preparation techniques and cooking equipment.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of relevant liquor laws.

Responsabilités

• Support or lead the assigned section as directed by the Chef De Cuisine and provide training to junior staff members.
• Assist with fundamental cooking and food preparation tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations.
• Complete all duties in line with company and statutory hygiene requirements.
• Meet requirements for consistency and high quality in a fast-paced environment.
