Job summary

Sigma Computing is seeking a Commercial Solutions Engineer in Australia to act as a trusted advisor during the technical presales cycle. You will align with Sales, BD, Product, Customer Success, and Support to deliver demos, prototypes, and tailored assessments.

You will uncover business challenges, build solution prototypes, deliver compelling demonstrations, and articulate Sigma’s value across organizational levels. This role requires customer-facing excellence and ongoing skills development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of analytics, BI, or sales engineering experience.
• Customer relationship experience required.
• Strong understanding of database concepts.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery).
• Startup or fast-paced environment experience is a plus.
• Travel up to 10% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and uncover business challenges and run targeted discovery sessions.
• Engage with business users to define and showcase solution prototypes.
• Build and present customized demos for customers and events.
• Articulate the business value of Sigma platform at all levels.
• Provide responses to RFPs/RFIs with technical and security context.
• Participate in product and sales certifications to grow skills.
• Collaborate with team and share knowledge.
• Discuss data integration and migration approaches to support analytics strategy.
• Manage multiple customer engagements concurrently.
• Help achieve quarterly and annual objectives.
• Become a Sigma champion and product expert for prospects and customers.
