SMAART Recruitment in Sydney is seeking an experienced Personal Accident Claims Assessor to join a specialist insurance team. You will manage a portfolio of Personal Accident claims from lodgement through to finalisation, ensuring timely, accurate, and well-reasoned decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Personal Accident, Workers Compensation, CTP or broader claims assessment.
• Ability to manage end-to-end claims end-to-end with strong relationship building.

• Salary of $90,000 to $100,000 base + super, with flexibility for the right experience.
• Sydney-based position, working 37.5 hours per week.
• Opportunity to manage a specialised Personal Accident claims portfolio.
• Work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Immediate start available.

About you:

Ideally, you will have experience in Personal Accident, Workers Compensation, CTP or Accident & Sickness claims. However, we are also interested in hearing from candidates with broader claims assessment experience or an allied health background.

You will bring:

• Previous experience in claims assessment, ideally within injury-related insurance.
• Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to interpret medical information, policy coverage and supporting documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A customer-focused approach with sound judgement and a commitment to fair outcomes.
