This is an opportunity to combine hands-on claims management with technical leadership, stakeholder advocacy and process improvement. The successful candidate will initially join as a Senior Claims Consultant, with the opportunity to step into the Claims Manager position following a minimum of six months, subject to performance and readiness.

Prepare submissions for internal dispute resolution and AFCA matters.
Coordinate external experts, including forensic accountants, engineers and legal professionals.
Manage large-loss and catastrophe claims, supporting the team's response to significant events.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to Claims Consultants and Claims Support Officers.

Build strong relationships with brokers, clients and insurers, managing escalated enquiries and complaints.
Support brokers with claims insights, renewal discussions, client meetings and new business opportunities.
Identify and appropriately support vulnerable clients while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, industry codes and regulatory requirements.
You are an experienced commercial claims professional who enjoys solving complex problems, advocating for clients and sharing your technical expertise with others. You are ready to take the next step towards claims leadership and have the confidence to support a team through challenging claims and escalations.
To be successful, you will bring:
At least 5 years' experience managing complex, high-value insurance claims.
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance, including property, business interruption and liability.
A sound understanding of policy interpretation, coverage, liability and claims resolution.
Excellent negotiation, advocacy and written submission skills.
Experience providing technical guidance, mentoring or support to colleagues.
The ability to manage competing priorities and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
A client-focused approach, with strong judgement, professionalism and empathy.
Tier 2 qualification as a minimum.
Tertiary or insurance-related qualifications, such as a Diploma of Insurance Broking or ANZIIF qualifications, will be highly regarded.
A genuine leadership pathway: The opportunity to progress into the Claims Manager position following 6+ months in the Senior Claims Consultant role.
Technical ownership: Manage challenging commercial claims and influence claim outcomes.
Leadership exposure: Mentor colleagues, support escalations and contribute to team development.
