Job summary

Mee So in Sydney's Surry Hills is seeking a talented Chef de Partie to take ownership of a station in a fast-paced, creative kitchen. You’ll prepare and cook Japanese and Korean-inspired dishes, work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to execute menu concepts, and ensure top-quality presentation and flavour.

You’ll train junior kitchen staff, uphold food safety and cleanliness standards, and contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal updates.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Chef ready to step up.
Love of Asian cuisine, especially Japanese and Korean.
Flair for plating, balance of flavours and presentation.
Strong teamwork, communication and time management.
Commitment to quality, consistency and creativity.
Availability for a mix of day, night and weekend shifts.
Hold a valid Food Safety Certificate.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of your section and ensure smooth, efficient service.
Prepare and cook a range of Japanese and Korean-inspired dishes.
Work closely with Head Chef and Sous Chef to execute concepts and daily specials.
Maintain high standards of presentation, consistency, and flavour.
Help train and support junior kitchen staff.
Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are met.
Contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal menu updates.
