Island Radio, a Sydney dining spot under House Made Hospitality, is seeking a Chef de Partie for a busy kitchen in Surry Hills. You will cook and plate to spec, mentor junior staff, and contribute to menu development in a fast-paced setting.

A culinary qualification or proven experience is required, with strong food safety knowledge and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Asian cuisines interest is a bonus, and a collaborative kitchen team awaits.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen.
• A culinary qualification, or the experience to back it up.
• Strong food safety and hygiene knowledge.
• Calm under pressure, good with people, and proud of your craft.
• A genuine interest in Asian cuisines is a bonus, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and plating dishes to spec, every service, every time.
• Mentoring and guiding junior kitchen staff and setting the standard on your section.
• Contributing ideas to menu development — we're always evolving.
• Keeping across stock and flagging what needs ordering.
• Maintaining a clean, organised workstation (non-negotiable).
• Working closely with the Head Chef to keep service running smoothly.
