The Role

Reporting to the CIAM Team Lead (Consumer Identity and Access Management), the Change Manager is responsible for assessing incoming technology, process and policy changes in the Digital Identity and related technology space. Coordinating with affected teams to ensure there is no interruption to the systems under our custody.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Change Manager may include:

  • Assess technology, process, policy and legislative changes, evaluating impacts on Digital Identity services, business operations and DEWR-hosted applications.
  • Complete the onboarding requirements for new applications joining the AGDIS ecosystem, ensuring the requirements of the Digital ID act are being met.
  • Lead change planning and coordination activities, developing implementation schedules, communication strategies and stakeholder engagement plans to ensure successful adoption.
  • Translate complex technical, business and legislative requirements into clear, actionable outcomes for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, proactively managing issues, risks, escalations and competing priorities.
  • Provide authoritative advice and regular status reporting on change readiness, impacts, risks and outcomes to executives and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality presentations, workshops and webinars, communicating complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including senior executives.
  • Prepare executive reports, briefings and insights that support decision-making across change management, service delivery, cyber security and operational functions.
  • Apply strong communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills to manage stakeholder expectations, de-escalate issues and achieve positive business outcomes.
Qualifications and Education

Essential- Qualification in Information Technology or Business Management. Diploma level or above.

Citizenship - to be eligible for employment with the Department, you must be an Australian Citizen or, in limited circumstances, in the process of obtaining it.

Security Clearance - our successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
