Eureka 89, located atop Eureka Tower in Melbourne, invites a passionate Commis Chef to join its premium dining and events kitchen on a casual basis. You will work across menus, canapés, desserts and mise en place under skilled chefs, taking ownership of your section and contributing to memorable service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year’s experience in a similar kitchen role.
• Formal culinary qualification such as Commercial Cookery.
• Safe Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook ingredients to a consistently high standard.
• Support premium dining and event menus: entrée, dessert, pastry, canapés.
• Run sections with minimal supervision and assist with the pass.
• Ensure mise en place is efficient and ready for service.
• Collaborate with kitchen, front of house and events teams to enhance guest experiences.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, labeling, allergen awareness and stock rotation.
