Job summary

Eureka Hotel Geelong is seeking an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team and help bolster the food side of the business. You’ll work alongside an experienced team across a varied pub menu, delivering quality meals while upholding high standards of food safety, cleanliness and presentation.

The role begins on a casual basis during probation, with an opportunity to move into a full-time position for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Genuine passion for food and willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well within a busy kitchen team.
• Good communication and organisation skills.
• Strong focus on food quality, consistency and presentation."
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily kitchen prep and cooking tasks.
• Support chefs in plate presentation and portion control.
