Qualifications

• Relevant culinary qualification or equivalent practical experience in a professional kitchen.
• Food handling and hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility with scheduling for casual work arrangements.
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering excellent customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
• Assisting senior chefs with food preparation, including chopping, mixing and cooking of ingredients.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of your workstation and kitchen equipment.
• Following food hygiene and safety protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Contributing to the efficient running of the kitchen during service periods.
• Supporting the plating and presentation of dishes to meet Juni Melbourne's high standards.
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to kitchen management.
• Assisting with food storage, inventory management and waste control.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
