Job summary

CGC Recruitment partners with an established international freight forwarding business to appoint a Business Development Manager in Sydney. You will focus on identifying and securing new freight forwarding customers, building long-term profitable relationships, and driving growth across air and sea freight solutions.

You should have a proven track record in international freight forwarding, strong industry connections, and the ability to manage a full sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding.

Qualifications

• Proven business development experience within international freight forwarding.
• Established network of importers, exporters and industry contacts.
• Track record of winning new business and developing profitable accounts.
• Strong understanding of air and sea freight solutions, pricing and negotiations.
• Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Identify, target and secure new freight forwarding customers across Sydney and NSW.
• Develop opportunities across international air and sea freight.
• Leverage industry relationships to build a pipeline of new business.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to quotations, negotiations and onboarding.
• Work with operations and customer service to ensure smooth transition of new accounts.
• Develop and execute a proactive business development strategy to achieve revenue targets.
