Job summary

Gough Recruitment in Sydney is seeking an experienced Bid Manager for a commercial fit out and construction contractor. You will lead the bid lifecycle from opportunity through submission, ensuring high-quality, compliant proposals.

Working with senior leadership, pre-contracts, estimating, design and project delivery teams, you will develop win strategies, coordinate stakeholders and manage multiple tenders to drive future work and business growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bid Manager in commercial construction or fit out.
• History of managing tenders and major project submissions.
• Strong bid strategy development and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Bid Manager - Fit Out & Construction

Sydney, NSW

The Opportunity

An established commercial fit out and construction contractor is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead and drive the tendering function across a diverse portfolio of projects.

This role will suit a proven Bid Manager with a track record of developing winning submissions, influencing bid strategy, and coordinating key stakeholders throughout the pursuit process. You will be responsible for managing complex tenders from qualification through to submission, ensuring all opportunities are presented to the highest standard and aligned with broader business objectives.

Working closely with senior leadership, pre-contracts, estimating, design and project delivery teams, you will play a critical role in securing future work and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Bid Manager within commercial construction, fit out, property, infrastructure or related sectors.
• Demonstrated history of managing successful tenders and major project submissions.
• Strong understanding of construction procurement and tendering environments.
• Exceptional written communication, stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes under tight deadlines.
• Experience developing bid strategy rather than simply coordinating submission inputs.
• High level of commercial awareness and attention to detail.
