Job summary

Morson Edge Australia is seeking a Senior Estimator to join its leading commercial fitout, refurbishment and newbuild division. You will manage tenders end-to-end, prepare detailed cost plans, and drive competitive pricing for major bids.

Join a national contractor with a strong project pipeline and exposure to high-profile, complex tenders across Australia. A background in construction management or QS qualifications is ideal.

Qualifications

• Senior estimator with proven fitout/refurbishment project experience.
• Strong background in commercial construction and tendering.
• Experience estimating complex, large-scale projects.
• Qualification in Construction Mgmt or QS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage estimates and tenders from initial review through submission.
• Prepare detailed BOQs, cost plans, scopes and tender docs.
• Review drawings to identify risks and opportunities.
• Obtain and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Develop competitive pricing and value engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with pre-construction and delivery teams on bids.

The Opportunity

Senior or strong intermediate Estimator to join leading commercial fitout, refurbishment & newbuild business.

Duties

• Manage estimates and tenders from initial review through to submission
• Prepare detailed BOQs, cost plans, scopes and tender documentation
• Review drawings and identify tender risks and opportunities
• Obtain and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Develop competitive pricing and value engineering solutions
• Collaborate with pre-construction and delivery teams on major bids

Skills & Experience

• Senior estimating experience with a reputable head contractor
• Fitout, refurbishment and/or commercial construction experience
• Experience estimating complex, large-scale commercial projects
• Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related qualification
• Proficiency in CostX, Cubit or similar estimating software
