Job summary

Mercure Gold Coast Resort is seeking a Bar Manager to lead the beverage program and guest experience at our resort overlooking the Palm Meadows Golf Course.

You will design menus, craft cocktails, and mentor the F&B team to deliver warm, authentic hospitality across our restaurant and bars. Availability for weeknights, weekends, and peak season is required.

Qualifications

• RSA certificate required.
• Ability to work weeknights, weekends and holiday season.
• Experience leading a hospitality team with a positive culture.

Where you’ll be working

Overlooking the Resort’s sparkling pool and the Palm Meadows Golf Course, you’ll be serving guests and leading the F&B team in our locally inspired restaurant and bar. As Bar Manager you will have a central role in beverage menu design, crafting cocktails, mocktails, and a bar experience that keeps guests coming back.

Job Description

What you'll be doing:

• Oversee the successful operations of the Bar


• Lead & Inspire the team to deliver excellent hospitality


• Drive sales and a positive guest experience


• Work closely and collaboratively with the other F&B Outlet leaders & Kitchen team


• Support with operations of the restaurant, conferences, and other outlets as required


• Respond to complaints with calm, professional and guest-centered resolutions


• Support with onboarding, feedback, training & developing the F&B team


• Promote a positive & inclusive culture across the team and wider resort

Qualifications

What you'll bring to the role:

• Passionate about connecting with people and providing hospitality with heart


• Experience with successfully leading a team & promoting a positive culture


• Excellent bartending skills and beverage knowledge


• Excellent communication and guest service skills


• Ability to stay calm under pressure


• RSA Certificate


• Reliable transport (public transport not accessible at required shift times)


• Available to work weeknights & weekends and holiday season
