Job summary

Gunners Barracks, operated by Grand Pacific Group in Mosman, seeks an Assistant Venue Manager to join our hospitality team. You will report to the Venue Manager and focus on settling in, then driving service excellence, staff culture, recruitment and development.

Responsibilities include running events and restaurant service, hands-on staff training, systems implementation, and maintaining guest relations to ensure smooth day-to-day operations with high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role
• Proven leadership in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of service

Responsibilities

• Running of events and restaurant service; this is an operational role
• Hands-on management style with focus on staff training and development
• Liaise with managers to understand operational needs and improve standards
• Maintain strong guest and staff relationships to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Ensure high levels of customer service and respond to feedback as required
• Ensure compliance standards are met across the venue
