Job summary

ALAND is seeking an Assistant Development Manager to support development projects through coordination, governance and reporting. You will ensure project information is accurate, actions are followed through and documentation is prepared to a high standard.

This role provides exposure to multidisciplinary teams across residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. Key duties include coordinating meetings, action logs and document registers; tracking consultant deliverables and approvals;

Qualifications

  • Experience in property development, project coordination, planning, architecture, construction or related environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail and ability to work across multiple priorities.
  • Working knowledge of development lifecycle, feasibility, planning approvals and project reporting.

  • Track consultant deliverables, submission requirements, approvals, key dates and project actions to support timely delivery.
  • Prepare draft reports, presentations, meeting packs and project governance materials for review.
  • Assist with market research, feasibility inputs, cost assumptions and project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate data within feasibility, reporting and document management tools.
  • Identify missing information, inconsistent assumptions or overdue actions and escalate promptly.
  • Support preparation of development application, modification and approval submission materials.
  • Coordinate with consultants and internal teams to gather technical inputs, drawings, reports and supporting documentation.

Job description

The Assistant Development Manager supports Development Managers and Senior Development Managers with the coordination, documentation, reporting and administration required to progress development projects. The role ensures project information is accurate, actions are followed through and governance materials are prepared to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate meetings, action logs, document registers, project files and correspondence for allocated projects.

Track consultant deliverables, submission requirements, approvals, key dates and project actions to support timely delivery.

Prepare draft reports, presentations, meeting packs and project governance materials for review.

Assist with market research, competitor analysis, feasibility inputs, cost assumptions and project schedules.

Maintain accurate data within feasibility, reporting and document management tools under the direction of the Development Manager.

Identify missing information, inconsistent assumptions or overdue actions and escalated promptly.

Support preparation of development application, modification and approval submission materials.

Coordinate with consultants and internal teams to gather technical inputs, drawings, reports and supporting documentation.

Assist with reviewing documentation for completeness, consistency and alignment to project briefs.

Maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, authorities and project partners.

About you

Experience in property development, project coordination, planning, architecture, construction or related professional environments; typically 2+ years or equivalent capability.

Relevant tertiary qualification or studies in Property Development, Property Economics, Planning, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or Commerce.

Working knowledge of the development lifecycle, including feasibility, planning approvals, design coordination and project reporting.

Strong document control, administration, meeting coordination, minute-taking and action tracking skills.

Sound analytical skills with the ability to support market research, feasibility inputs and project reporting.

Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail and ability to work across multiple priorities.

Collaborative, proactive and willing to learn, with high standards of accuracy and follow-through.
