Job summary

Capstone Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Development Manager in Sydney to work with a Senior Development Manager across a portfolio of high-quality build-to-sell apartment and mixed-use projects, including ground-level retail and commercial spaces.

You’ll support the delivery from planning through construction, coordinate consultants and authorities, monitor budgets, and assist with planning approvals and reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong Class 2/apartment delivery experience.
• Willing to broaden into development.
• Tertiary qualification in Property, Construction, Planning or related discipline preferred.
• Open to experienced ADMs, PMs, APMs, Site Engineers with residential delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing apartment and mixed-use developments from planning through construction and completion
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, authorities and other key stakeholders
• Monitor programme, budgets, cashflow, costs and project reporting
• Assist with planning approvals, DAs, CCs and related submissions
• Monitor construction progress and help resolve project issues
• Prepare reports, analysis and briefing material for senior management
• Support the sales and settlement of apartments, including purchaser and sales-related coordination
• Assist with the leasing of retail and commercial tenancies, working with leasing agents and other stakeholders to support successful activation of the ground-plane retail offering

Job description

An established Sydney developer is seeking an Assistant Development Manager to work closely with a Senior Development Manager across a portfolio of high-quality build-to-sell apartment and mixed-use projects, including developments with retail and commercial uses at ground level.

With several projects progressing, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ADM to take on greater responsibility, or for a strong project/construction professional with Class 2 delivery experience to transition into development.

You’ll have a strong focus on delivery and project coordination, while gaining broader exposure across feasibility, planning, design, commercial and stakeholder management.

About You

You’ll ideally have strong Class 2/apartment delivery experience and be looking to broaden your career into development.

We are open to experienced ADMs, as well as Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Site Engineers or Project Engineers with relevant residential delivery experience.

You’ll bring strong organisation and stakeholder management skills, commercial awareness, a proactive approach and a genuine interest in building a long-term career in property development.

A tertiary qualification in Property, Construction, Planning, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
