Job summary

Woods & Co is seeking an Assistant Development Manager to support the delivery of townhouse and medium-density residential projects across Melbourne. This role offers genuine end-to-end project exposure and the chance to work closely with experienced senior development professionals as you build your development career in a dynamic private property group.

You will assist with feasibility, budgets, planning approvals and coordinating consultants, gaining hands-on experience from early feasibility

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience in property development, project management or related role.
• Experience in residential development — townhouses, medium-density or volume housing.
• Exposure to multiple stages of the development lifecycle.
• Solid understanding of planning, design and construction processes.
• Confident coordinating consultants, builders and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery of townhouse and medium-density residential projects.
• Support feasibility, budgets, cash flows and development reporting.
• Coordinate consultants across planning, design and delivery.
• Assist with planning approvals and authority requirements.
• Support design development and project programming.
• Assist with tendering, procurement and contract administration.
• Monitor construction progress, costs, programme, quality and risks.

A well-established private property group is seeking an Assistant Development Manager to join its growing development team and support the delivery of a strong pipeline of medium-density residential projects across Melbourne.

The Role

• Assist with the delivery of townhouse and medium-density residential projects.

About You

• 2–5 years' experience within property development, project management or a related property role.
• Experience within residential development, ideally townhouses, medium-density or volume housing.
• Exposure to multiple stages of the development lifecycle.
• Good understanding of planning, design and construction processes.
• Confident coordinating consultants, builders and other project stakeholders.
• Commercially minded, organised and proactive.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant qualifications in property, construction, engineering, architecture or a related discipline.
