Job summary

CO.AS.IT. Italian Assistance Association in Melbourne is seeking a skilled manager to lead the rostering team for home care services. You will balance client needs, staff availability, skills and costs to deliver reliable, culturally responsive care.

You will report to the Director Aged Care Services and collaborate with Care Partners, HR, Payroll and Finance to plan capacity, recruitment and training, and to ensure quality outcomes across Melbourne’s Northern, Eastern and Western suburbs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading rostering or workforce operations.
• Strong leadership, coaching and performance management skills.
• Experience planning workforce needs and budgets.
• Knowledge of SCHADS Award and rostering employment requirements.
• Ability to analyse data and prepare reports.
• Commitment to culturally responsive care and community values.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the rostering team with a focus on performance and wellbeing.
• Oversee rosters, urgent cover and service changes.
• Resolve unfilled or at-risk visits and escalate when needed.
• Plan capacity, recruitment and training with HR.
• Oversee performance reviews and compliance checks.
• Monitor costs, utilisation and improve rostering practices.
• Coordinate with Care Partners, clinical, HR, Payroll and Finance.
