Job summary

The Salvation Army in Darwin, NT, is seeking an Afterhours Support Worker for Sunrise Centre. The role is permanent part-time (16 hours/week) on a maximum-term contract to 24 January 2028, with casual opportunities available. You will assist residents outside business hours, uphold safety, and collaborate with the broader team to deliver care.

You will be joining a values-driven organisation offering SCHADS Level 3 pay, benefits, and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar support worker role is essential.
• Experience with homelessness, alcohol and other drugs, or complex needs is preferred.
• Knowledge of community services and residential care frameworks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours support to residents in a safe, respectful, person-centred manner.
• Build positive relationships with residents to encourage participation and self-determination.
• Monitor site safety, respond to incidents and welfare concerns in line with policies.
• Support residents with medication administration requirements per individual plans.
• Maintain accurate client records and coordination with the case management team.
