Job summary

The Salvation Army Australia is seeking an After-Hours Support Worker to provide support for residents of the Bridge Program in Ulverstone, Tasmania. The role focuses on policy compliance after hours, crisis response, and assisting residents with immediate needs.

The position is fixed-term, part-time (16 hours per week), with shifts including weekday sleepovers and weekend coverage. Salary aligned to SCHADS Award Level 3.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV level qualification in AOD or Mental Health or related field.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current Working with Vulnerable Persons Check and National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours support for residents and ensure program policy compliance.
• Support case workers and assess client needs during after-hours.
• Manage immediate or crisis situations outside business hours.
• Maintain hygiene and tidiness in client rooms and common areas.
• Establish effective relationships that encourage participation and self-determination.
• Assist clients to access support services and community resources.
• Support the team to implement case plans in line with TSA standards.
