Job summary

The Salvation Army in Hobart is seeking a values-driven AOD After Hours Support Worker to assist residents of the Bridge Program and support a team of case workers in after-hours compliance with policy and procedures.

Reporting to the Program Supervisor, this casual role is based in New Town, TAS. SCHADS Award Level 3 applies, with flexible conditions and opportunities to contribute to positive outcomes for people overcoming addiction.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV level qualification in AOD or Mental Health or related field.
• Tasmanian Employee Working with Vulnerable People Check.
• A current and valid First Aid Certificate.
• A valid Tasmanian Driver licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours support for residents of the Bridge Program.
• Assist a team of case workers and ensure policy/procedures are followed after hours.
• Address urgent needs and maintain safety and wellbeing of residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the centre.
• Build supportive relationships to encourage self-determination and participation.
