Job summary

Geelong & Surfcoast Laundry in Newtown, VIC, is seeking an experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer to join our locally owned team. You will manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing using MYOB, and provide reporting support.

This role offers variety across finance, payroll and administration, with flexible hours (Part-Time or Full-Time, negotiable) and the opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day financial operations of a growing regional business.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts and payroll.
• Formal qualifications in Accounting, Bookkeeping or related field, such as a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable and debt collection processes.
• Experience using MYOB AccountRight or similar accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable: daily bank receipting, statements, overdue follow-up, credit control.
• Accounts Payable: supplier invoices and statements, payment runs, supplier queries.
• Payroll: end-to-end payroll processing using MYOB and compliance.
• Reporting & Administration: bank reconciliations, weekly wages allocation, management reports.
• Month-end support and ensuring accurate financial records.
• Assist with onboarding and payroll-related HR administration.
