Job summary

Randstad partners with a strong local operator who is seeking an adaptable Accounts & Payroll Officer to join the finance team. The role split includes payroll management for internal staff and sub-contractors and end-to-end AP/AR support, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

You will work with MYOB, assist with banking tasks, and help with manual approvals as the business optimises its new systems in a collaborative, relaxed environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Accounts, Finance, or Payroll Officer roles.
• Confident in processing payroll and end-to-end AP/AR.
• Experience with MYOB or similar ERP systems.
• Team player who enjoys a relaxed office environment.
• Industry experience is a bonus but not required.

We are assisting a strong local operator that is currently looking for an adaptable and experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer to join the finance team. About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in alleviating the administrative burden on the broader team, with your week split between payroll (approx. 1-2 days) and end-to-end AP/AR.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing end-to-end Accounts Receivable processes.
• Managing payroll E2E processing for internal staff and sub-contractors.
• Navigating MYOB, handling bank polling, and assisting with periphery finance duties.
• Navigating and supporting manual approval processes while the business continues to optimise its new systems.

About You:

• Proven experience in a similar Accounts, Finance, or Payroll Officer role.
• Confidence in processing payroll and managing end-to-end AP/AR.
• Experience with MYOB (or similar ERP systems) and a patient, adaptable mindset when it comes to system transitions and manual processes.
• A great team player who appreciates a relaxed office environment, good banter, and working collaboratively.
• Relevant Industry experience is a bonus, but not a must-have.
