Job summary

Beautiful Minds Therapy Support is seeking Specialist Support Workers in Mackay, QLD to assist participants with complex needs requiring 24/7 availability. You will support individuals with ASD and intellectual disability, following behaviour support plans and trauma-informed approaches in community and in-home settings.

The role demands calmness under pressure, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies across rotating rosters,

Qualifications

• Experience supporting participants with Autism, intellectual impairment and complex behaviours.
• Availability to work across a 24/7 roster (days, afternoons, active nights, weekends).
• Strong communication, documentation and teamwork skills.
• Confidence implementing behaviour support strategies in real time.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, respectful, and person-centred supports.
• Implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies and behaviour support plans.
• Support daily living tasks, community access, and personal care as required.
• Maintain shift notes and incident reporting.
• Demonstrate professional boundaries, emotional regulation, and reliability.
• Participate in team communication and clinical guidance processes.
