Job summary

Ability Care Ltd in Ipswich and Wacol is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide tailored, compassionate support to adults with complex care needs and, where required, forensic backgrounds. You will work within person-centred plans, manage challenging behaviours with Positive Behaviour Support, document clearly, and collaborate with a team to deliver NDIA-aligned services.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Disability or higher.
• Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
• Current Blue Card (Working With Children Check) and NDIS Worker Screening.
• Current National Criminal History Check and a valid Queensland driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to adults with complex care needs and behaviours.
• Support daily living activities and community access.
• Ensure safety and upholding participant rights and dignity.
• Implement Positive Behaviour Support plans and least-restrictive approaches.
• Document progress notes, incidents and behaviour data clearly and timely.
• Communicate effectively with participants, families and team members.
• Collaborate to deliver NDIA-aligned, person-centred support.
• Maintain professional boundaries and compliance with standards.
