Job summary

MS Queensland is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide in-home and community-based care for individuals with high and complex support needs in Albany Creek/Caboolture. You will work across Albany Creek and Caboolture locations, delivering person-centred care on a rotating roster.

Role includes complex supports for neurological conditions, medication assistance, and documentation. Part-time permanent and casual opportunities with shift flexibility and not-for-profit salary

Qualifications

• Completed Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent.
• Current First Aid (within last 3 years) and CPR (within last 12 months).
• Experience with high/complex needs (24/7 or supported accommodation) including neurological conditions.
• Ability to deliver complex physical supports per care plans (catheter/bowel care, hoisting/transfers, PEG feeding, medication support).
• NDIS understanding (or willingness to learn) and a person-centred approach.
• Strong documentation and teamwork; follow plans and policies.
• Open Australian driver’s licence; car insurance and access to a vehicle.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance; Queensland Blue Card; NDIS Online Worker Training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality personal care and daily living support (mobility, meals, domestic tasks).
• Support community access and meaningful participation to build independence.
• Provide medication support and assist with medical appointments as required.
• Deliver complex supports in line with care plans (catheter/bowel care, hoisting/transfers, PEG feeding, suctioning).
• Monitor wellbeing, document accurately, and escalate health/behavior changes promptly.
• Maintain records and follow individual care plans, policies and safe work practices.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver safe, person-centred support every shift.
