Job summary

Lifeline Australia is seeking an In-Shift Support Supervisor to coordinate Digital Service Crisis Supporters during shifts, ensuring real-time guidance, debriefs, and adherence to safety and reporting requirements. The role emphasizes proactive communication and effective workload management across a national network.

The position requires crisis support experience, coaching/training credentials, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while maintaining a growth

Qualifications

• Minimum of 100 hours as Lifeline Digital Services Crisis Supporter.
• Clear understanding of reflective practice and debrief techniques.
• Completed or willing to complete LLA and ISS training as required.
• Education in youth work, social work, counselling, psychology or allied health.
• Ability to acquire Working with Children Check and Police Check.
• Background in remote service delivery of allied health services (desirable).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and online meeting platforms (e.g. MS Teams).

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate, real-time practice support and feedback to CSs across Lifeline network.
• Provide initial debriefing for CSs after difficult/high-risk interactions.
• Complete emergency interventions and mandatory reporting requirements.
• Proactively use instant messaging to provide support and direction to CSs on duty.
