Job summary

Sydney Lifeline Australia is seeking an In-Shift Support Supervisor for its Digital Services. The role provides real-time liaison support to Crisis Supporters and coordinates during shifts to extend service quality for Help Seekers, especially in remote/digital channels.

You will monitor shifts, debrief after difficult interactions, ensure reporting, and facilitate ongoing training; a background in crisis work, reflective practice, and proficiency with MS Office and Teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 100 hours as a Lifeline Digital Services Crisis Supporter.
• Clear understanding of reflective practice and debrief techniques in Crisis Support.
• Completed or willing to complete LLA training including coaching training and other required training.
• Education in youth work, social work, counselling, psychology or allied health field (2 years post accreditation desirable).
• Ability to acquire Working with Children Check and Police Check.
• Background in remote service delivery of allied health services (desirable).
• High proficiency with MS Office, online meeting platforms (MS Teams) and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Support, monitor and coordinate Digital Service Crisis Supports during shifts.
• Cover breaks and conduct debriefs, check-ins and monitor ratios.
• Report technology issues and contribute to quality improvements.
• Provide immediate, real-time feedback to Crisis Supporters on duty.
• Complete emergency interventions and mandatory reporting requirements.
