Job summary

Lifeline Australia is seeking an In-Shift Support – Digital role based remotely in Australia. The role operates on a 24/7 roster, including weekends and overnights, to support our Digital Service crisis supporters and help expand service and performance.

You will monitor shifts, provide real-time support, debrief after difficult interactions, and coordinate responses. A background in crisis services and allied health education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 100 hours as Lifeline Digital Services Crisis Supporter and strong crisis support skills.
• Clear understanding of reflective practice and debrief techniques.
• Willingness to complete LLA training including coaching and ISS training.
• Education in youth work, social work, counselling, psychology or allied health fields (2 years post accreditation desirable).
• Ability to obtain Working with Children Check and Police Check.
• Background in remote delivery of allied health services (desirable).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online meeting platforms; accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time practice support to CS across Lifeline network.
• Provide initial debriefing for CS after difficult/high-risk interactions.
• Complete emergency interventions and mandatory reporting.
• Use instant messaging to support CS on duty and relay guidance.
