Job summary

BOND is hiring a backend engineer to own core services, data pipelines, and integrations that power the tender platform. You will design and maintain APIs, ensure data freshness, and keep the system fast as volumes grow.

You will collaborate directly with the founders on architecture and priorities, shipping iterative designs with a pragmatic approach. Hybrid work from our Vienna office includes flexible hours and regular team events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production backend systems in a modern language and framework.
• Solid database fundamentals — schema design, indexing, query performance.
• Experience operating services in production: monitoring, debugging, incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design and build APIs and services powering search, matching, and the customer dashboard.
• Own data pipelines end to end: ingestion, processing, deduplication, enrichment.
• Keep the platform fast and reliable as data volume and traffic grow.
• Improve observability, testing, and developer experience across the codebase.
• Work directly with the founders on architecture and priorities.
