refurbed, Europe’s fastest-growing marketplace for refurbished products, seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable APIs powering the mobile app and marketplace.

You will influence backend decisions for mobile constraints, own production monitoring, and collaborate across squads with engineers, product managers, and designers. A degree in CS or equivalent is preferred; remote-friendly with an option to work from our Vienna office.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of experience designing and building scalable backend services in production.
• Strong proficiency in Go and understanding of distributed systems and SOA.
• Experience with Node.js/TypeScript and mobile app backend integration.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and frontend basics for cross-team collaboration.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and maintain core APIs and backend services powering mobile app and marketplace.
• Own operations and monitoring of production systems.
• Review backend designs for mobile app compatibility across squads.
• Integrate third-party systems and APIs into the platform.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering culture.
