Job summary

BOND, based in Vienna, is building a platform to read, translate, and match European tenders at scale. You will lead the AI side of our product, owning features end to end—from problem framing to production operation—and set the bar for AI engineering at BOND.

You will design and ship core AI features, mentor engineers, collaborate with founders, and balance quality, cost, and speed for real users. We offer €80K–€110K, equity, equipment, hybrid work from our Vienna office, flexible hours, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with AI/ML in production.
• Ability to own systems end to end.
• Sound judgment in selecting simple vs. sophisticated approaches.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship the AI features at the core of the product.
• Own quality by building evaluation practices.
• Set technical direction and build-vs-skip decisions with the founders.
• Mentor other engineers and raise the team's AI/LLM craft.
• Balance quality, cost, and speed for real users at scale.
