Job summary

WSP is seeking a Software Asset Management Specialist to join its regional SAM team. This role focuses on managing software licensing across Latin America and other regions, coordinating with IT, Procurement, Finance and engineering teams to ensure accurate licensing decisions and cost efficiency.

You will handle licensing requests, interpret terms across publishers, maintain asset records, and drive continuous improvement of SAM processes in a high-volume, multi-publisher environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAM experience with software licensing.
• Strong understanding of licensing models (node-locked, concurrent/floating, named-user, cloud/SaaS).
• Experience managing a broad software portfolio across publishers and licenses.
• Entitlements, renewals, license utilization, compliance, optimization and/or audits.
• Ability to manage high volumes and prioritize between publishers.
• Strong attention to detail when interpreting licensing information.

Responsibilities

• Manage software licensing requests across the full lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Interpret licensing terms, metrics and entitlements across multiple publishers and licensing models.
• Maintain accurate software asset and entitlement records, including purchasing and licensing information.
• Coordinate renewals, assignments, reallocations and software optimization activities.
• Support license compliance, audits and reporting, identifying opportunities to improve software utilization and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Finance, Engineering teams and external vendors to resolve licensing needs and escalations.
• Manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment while contributing to continuous improvement of SAM processes.
