Job summary

WSP is seeking a Software Asset Management Specialist to join the regional SAM hub, overseeing licensing across Latin America and other regions. You will collaborate with IT, Procurement, Finance and Engineering teams to ensure accurate licensing decisions, compliance, and optimization of a large software portfolio.

The role requires hands-on SAM experience, knowledge of licensing models, and the ability to manage high-volume requests across multiple publishers, with strong English and Spanish

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Software Asset Management or IT Asset Management with SAM responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of licensing models (node-locked, concurrent/floating, named-user, cloud/SaaS).
• Experience managing a broad software portfolio across publishers and licensing conditions.
• Experience with entitlements, renewals, license utilization, compliance, optimization or audits.
• Ability to manage high volumes, prioritize time-sensitive requests, and adapt quickly between publishers.

Responsibilities

• Manage software licensing requests across the full lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Interpret licensing terms, metrics and entitlements across multiple publishers and licensing models.
• Maintain accurate software asset and entitlement records, including purchasing and licensing information.
• Coordinate renewals, assignments, reallocations and software optimization activities.
• Support license compliance, audits and reporting, identifying opportunities to improve software utilization and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Finance, Engineering teams and external vendors to resolve licensing needs and escalations.
• Manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment while contributing to continuous improvement of SAM processes.
