Job summary

PetDesk is seeking a Sr. Support Specialist, Phones to join the team. This remote contract role handles complex VoIP/SIP and PBX issues across multi-site clients, providing advanced troubleshooting, remote diagnostics, and thorough documentation to scale team knowledge.

Fluency in English is required, and contractors will supply their own equipment. Availability aligns with North American business hours, with duties including ticket management and knowledge base contributions.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of technical VoIP/PBX support experience across multi-site deployments.
• Solid knowledge of SIP, RTP/RTCP, PBX call routing and call quality issues.
• Networking fundamentals including subnets, VLANs, QoS, and packet capture analysis.
• Hands-on provisioning and configuration of IP phones across multiple vendors.
• Strong written English communication for client-facing work.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex issues from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve SIP/VoIP connectivity issues (NAT traversal, one-way audio, packet loss) across 15+ client tickets daily.
• Administer PBX systems at call-flow and trunk-configuration level.
• Remotely diagnose network issues at client sites (router/firewall checks) and guide non-technical staff.
• Provide IP phone provisioning for Yealink, Grandstream, Polycom-class devices.
• Manage client-facing tickets daily, maintain SLA adherence, and document resolutions.
• Document recurring issues and solutions in the internal knowledge base for team-wide use.
