Job summary

Baker Hughes in Argentina seeks a Commercial Lead for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin. You will drive the commercial strategy, manage the full sales cycle, and ensure service delivery aligns with Baker Hughes standards.

Lead engagements with key operators, develop pricing and proposals, and collaborate across operations, engineering and product lines to maximize value and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD, motors, RSS, or BHA optimization.
• Strong understanding of wellbore data interpretation and drilling KPIs.
• Proven ability to manage technical sales cycles with engineering/procurement.
• Experience with operators in shale basins (Vaca Muerta preferred).

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing the commercial strategy for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin.
• Managing the full sales cycle: prospecting, scoping, pricing, proposals, and contract negotiation.
• Building and maintaining relationships with operators (YPF, Vista, Tecpetrol, Pampa, Pluspetrol, Capex) and drilling contractors.
• Delivering technical presentations, reviews, and post-well analyses to show value and differentiation.
• Collaborating with operations, engineering and product lines to ensure service quality.
• Identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities across bits, fluids, motors, MWD/LWD, RSS.
• Supporting tender submissions, commercial models, and contract renewals; maintaining CRM pipelines.
