Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a seasoned Commercial Lead for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin, Argentina. You will drive the commercial strategy, lead a full sales cycle, and engage with top operators to deliver value.

You will collaborate with operations and engineering to ensure premier service quality, while identifying cross-sell opportunities across drilling products and services, in a dynamic, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD, or BHA optimization.
• Strong wellbore data interpretation and KPI knowledge.
• Experience with operators in Vaca Muerta or similar shale basins.
• Proven ability to manage technical sales cycles and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent communication translating technical info into commercial value.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategy for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin.
• Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, technical scoping, pricing, proposals, and contract negotiation.
• Build and maintain relationships with operators such as YPF, Vista, Tecpetrol, Pampa, Pluspetrol, and Capex.
• Deliver technical presentations, performance reviews, and post-well analyses to demonstrate value.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and product lines to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across bits, fluids, motors, MWD/LWD, and RSS.
• Support tender submissions, commercial models, and contract renewals to secure long-term business.
• Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and customer intelligence in CRM.
