Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own both desktop and mobile testing. You will build and maintain test automation, ensure fast, reliable tests, and contribute to a robust QA strategy across platforms.

Responsibilities include integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, investigating failures, reporting bugs, and collaborating with developers and product teams on testability and acceptance criteria. Experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium and AI-assisted QA is valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
