Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing, developing robust automated suites and manual testing where needed. You will integrate tests into CI/CD, investigate failures, and work with developers to ensure high testability and solid acceptance criteria.

You will apply Playwright, WebdriverIO, and Appium across platforms, including Electron and React Native apps, with emphasis on AI-assisted QA tools to improve accuracy and coverage.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their outputs. Testing AI-powered apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
