Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own both manual testing and automated coverage for desktop and mobile apps. You will build robust test suites, contribute to design decisions, and raise quality gates early in development.

You will leverage Playwright for web/desktop tests, WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile, and integrate tests into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines. Strong analytical skills and a passion for reliable software are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with manual testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD, e.g., GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and React Native apps on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
