Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing, combining automated suites with hands-on manual testing. You will build robust tests, integrate with CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with developers to improve testability and acceptance criteria across web, Electron, and React Native apps.

Experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO + Appium, and testing AI-powered features is a plus.

Qualifications

4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual testing.
Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Hands-on Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO+Appium for mobile.
Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on iOS/Android.
Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
