Sagan Recruitment is seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator & Team Lead for a remote, globally open position. Lead a skilled IT team, handle escalations, and oversee Windows, cloud, and network infrastructure to ensure high-quality service delivery.

The role emphasizes Active Directory, Microsoft 365/Azure environments, and comprehensive backup/DR oversight, with direct client and executive communication and strict SLA adherence.

• Strong leadership and supervision experience.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise IT support technicians (L1/L2); manage ticket queues and escalation workflows.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex issues across Windows, cloud, and networks.
• Design, maintain and secure Active Directory and Microsoft 365/Azure environments.
• Oversee enterprise networking components including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls and Wi‑Fi/VoIP.
• Lead maintenance and troubleshooting of client backup and DR solutions (Veeam, Backup Exec).
• Develop technical documentation, SOPs and escalation playbooks for the team.
• Act as technical point of contact for escalation clients and ensure SLA adherence.

POSITION: Senior IT Systems Administrator & Team Lead Location: Remote (Open to Global Talent) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM (EST) (Shift might be adjusted to ensure 24-hour coverage) Compensation: 3000 - 4000 USD/month Note: Independent contractor position

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS:

• Leadership & Supervision: Supervise, mentor, and guide junior and mid-level IT support technicians (L1/L2); manage ticket queues, escalation workflows, and service delivery quality.
• L3 Escalations & Advanced Support: Serve as the senior escalation tier for complex, unresolved technical issues spanning Windows environments, cloud infrastructure, and network architecture.
• System & Infrastructure Administration: Design, maintain, and secure Active Directory, Microsoft 365/Azure environments, domain policies, and core network configurations.
• Network & Security Operations: Oversee enterprise networking components including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, routing, Wi-Fi, and VoIP systems.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Lead maintenance, strategy, and troubleshooting for client backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Backup Exec, etc.).
• Process & Documentation: Develop technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and escalation playbooks for the engineering team.
• Client & Executive Communication: Act as a technical point of contact for key escalation clients and ensure SLA adherence across business and educational accounts.
