Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in Córdoba, Argentina. This hybrid role combines platform engineering with data infrastructure, focusing on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to enable data teams to ship high-quality data products faster and more safely.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps/platform eng or SRE with at least 2 years in data engineering
• Deep expertise with AWS services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager
• Hands-on with Glue ETL, Athena, S3 lifecycle, encryption and events
• Proficiency with IaC: Terraform and/or AWS CDK
• Strong CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes)
• Observability: metrics, logs, tracing, alerting
• Excellent communication and ability to translate IT concerns for broader audiences
• Nice-to-have: Kafka/Kinesis, Great Expectations, Iceberg/Delta Lake, AWS certifications

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and Athena views
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and/or CDK
• Own observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs and alerts
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable templates
• Manage containerized data ingestion services and orchestration workers
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Apache Airflow) including upgrades and scaling
• Develop and maintain PySpark-based Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion
• Drive security by enforcing least-privilege IAM, Secrets Management and network controls
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and post-mortems
