Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in Córdoba, Argentina. The role blends platform engineering with data infrastructure, focusing on reliable, automated data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You’ll build cloud infrastructure on AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to empower data teams to ship data products faster and more securely. Strong AWS and data engineering skills are essential.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE, with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation/CDK).
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, S3 data lifecycle and security.
• Proficiency with IaC tools Terraform and/or CDK for production environments.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of AWS Glue ETL jobs, Athena views, and related data infrastructure.
• Build and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC (Terraform and/or CDK) covering S3, IAM, Glue, Athena, VPCs, and more.
• Own the observability stack for data pipelines: metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure SLA and rapid incident response.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling, templates, and libraries for production-grade pipelines.
• Manage container infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingestion microservices and orchestration workers.
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) including upgrades and scaling.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
• Drive security practices: Secrets Manager, IAM least privilege, network segmentation, compliance controls.
• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and security teams to translate requirements into scalable infra.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages: on-call, root cause analysis, post-mortems.
