Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina, is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role blends platform engineering with data infrastructure, focusing on reliability, automation, and fast delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD, and DevOps tooling to empower data teams to ship high-quality data products quickly, with emphasis on observability and secure, scalable operations.

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional DevOps/site reliability experience, with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle.
• Proficiency with IaC tools Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design observability with metrics, logging, tracing, alerts.
• Strong communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of AWS Glue ETL jobs, Athena views, and related data infrastructure.
• Build and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC (Terraform and/or AWS CDK) covering S3, IAM, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation permissions, VPCs, and supporting services.
• Own the observability stack for data pipelines: define metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure SLA compliance and fast incident response.
• Develop and maintain the DataOps platform-self-service tooling, templates, and shared libraries for production-grade pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, or Lambda) for data ingestion microservices and orchestration workers.
• Design and operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) including upgrades and scaling.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion and transformation on S3.
• Drive security best practices: secrets management, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, and compliance controls.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and security teams to translate requirements into scalable infra solutions.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages: on-call, root-cause analysis, post-mortems.
